Well, it has been decided. It's time to get your work requests put in, and start updating all your games and preparing your computer, brushing up on your Super Smash Brothers melee and Rockband "skills" (lulz).

What should you bring?

• your computer if you want to LAN
• a power strip for your computer and peripherals
• your favorite XBOX 360 or Gamecube/Wii game; any favorite controller (I only have 2 XBOX ones, and 2 legit gamecube, and 2 off-brand gamecube controllers)
• any card/board games you think people would play (I'll provide Cards Against Humanity, with xpacs)
• any snacks, drinks, or electricity bill donations you want to contribute
• some extra cash for going out to dinner

Awesome! This should be lots of fun. I have one good XBOX 360 controller I can bring. We'll also bring some snacks with us to share with everyone, no clue what exactly. We will for sure bring Smash Up (card game) and maybe some other card games or board games.

Seeing how this is now less of a LAN and more of a boardgame/card game get together, there really isn't any need for the "electricity contributions" part of the details in the first post.

There will be some chips, salsa, veggie tray w/ dips, and my wife's "hurricane dip" (chili and a couple cheeses). My hope is that we can go to a pizza/pasta place called Emily's nearby (to continue with the tradition of a pizza place after the LAN, a la Double Dave's). If they are closed (as they sometimes do randomly) the backup is Mellow Mushroom in McKinney (also a pizza place).

I'll be ready for anyone to come starting at noon, and will try to have things wound down by around 8 (or after dinner), but feel free to come and go as needed. Just let me know when you plan to be there so we can make sure to include anyone in any games we play based on their arrival time...and for the trip to dinner.

The tsnLAN 2015 was great fun, and I hope to host another around Christmas time when my brother in town. I don't have any firm dates on that time window but I'll try to get some kind of estimate, and do a little more planning and give a little more warning for people to make proper arrangements.

I didn't take many photos, because I honestly forgot to get them, or there were no good opportunities, since we didn't have the full group in one place for too long. I hope next time more people are able to come so that we can all catch up, and so that we can have more than one activity going simultaneously. Then I wouldn't have to switch out of one to fire up another to keep everyone engaged.

Party started at 12, first people showed up at 1:30, last people showed up at 4, and the first people were already leaving by 5:30. Maybe set a shorter time frame next time (while knowing people will probably stay longer)?

Well, the only outlier was supposed to be Pam arriving at 2...the fact that you got there at 1:30, and that Punix overslept were unexpected, since normally everyone was early to the Tyler lan parties.

I'm sorry we got there so late. I really wanted my hubby to be able to go, and that took longer than expected. But at least y'all got to meet him. And have some fun at my expense.
