The-Spot.net Celebrated its 1 year anniversary

by Neo » 19 Apr 2004, 00:55

Last Friday, the-spot.net was officially around for 1 full year. We would like to congratulate the people that have maintained active user status through that entire year, as best as we can remember, since we don't have the records anymore.

- John :: he was the first member, and joined before even I could join when I told him I got the forums going on the fledgling site.
- UPS :: one of the obvious choices for an assisstant administrator, since he and I had worked on etbustudents.cc for a little more than a year that it was up, as well as the off-shoot - etbuers.com - that never got off the ground.
- Bethnangel :: Also one of the mangers of etbustudents.cc joined shortly after the site started and still posts today.

I don't remember if KD joined under tsnI or not...and I don't recall anyone else that is still here...but if you joined under tsnI, then let us know! ^_^

*********************
on another note: tsnIV, among other things for tsnIII are in their thought/development phase now, and the set date for release is going to be, once again, January 1, 2005.

We're going to try to get the WZUP radio up and running by that time, wihch will require lots of talk-shows, local band music, and announcements from the site and events hosted by the members of the site. More to come on this later...but this WZUP radio will be a little more thought through than the last ones.

Congrats Spot.net!!! what happened to the birthday party??? hey ya know what sounds like a cool idea? having spot-birthdays... whenever members have stayed a full year on the spot, obviously only a few people thus far have had their spot-birthday since the-spot's only a year old itself, but that would be cool if whoever had their birthday had a special thread just for themselves. just an idea.

it's not that she's banning it really....what it is...it's like a ..umm..erg...what's that thing when you go to something and take signs and stuff and are against something??

well..it's like...to say that you are tired of internet pornography and stuff like that and vulgar stuff on television and internet...stupid spam and stuff on the internet...so a bunch of people are getting together to do that for a week...

*sigh* it really makes me mad...I can't wait till I move into an apartment...and then I can also get back to WZUP radio...that would be great!!

It's called picketing or boycotting...but that's a really futile and stupid attempt. She's not going to stop the internet by them losing $10 in a week. She's already paid for it, and by her not using it, she's actually just GIVING them money. She should wait until her subscription comes due, and not pay, THEN boycott it, but it's still not going to matter. Just buy a tsn email address, and you won't have to worry about porn.

yeah...well...that's my mom for you...

also...she doesn't like how much time I spend on the computer a day...

she got really upset at me that on friday night I got home from work and almost immediately got on the computer...and then I was on my computer for almost 5 hours...she doesn't like that...even though I'm not doing anything bad...and usually...i'm on the spot, checking my e-mail...and talking with friends that I don't get to talk to anywhere else...and I'm still getting everything else done that I need to...she she needs to stop worrying!!
