twitter & tsn.7

I don't know how many of you read my tech blog at thepizzy.net/blog, or pay attention to the news blurb on the tsn splash page.
But for the last 2 days, I've been working with the Twitter programming API and have come up with an interesting feature that I'm hoping to get everyone involved with.
Remember the tsnXchat from back in the day? You would post what you were doing on the page, and it would update it live? You liked that didn't you?
Well, now there's something else - something better...something that will enable you to update it from your phone, gtalk, jabber, livejournal, or the web...it's called twitter.
twitter.com is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?
What are we using it for? It's two-fold really:
[*] It will take place of the tsnXchat program: When you join twitter, let me know your username, and I'll tell the account for the-spot.net to "follow" you. That means that when you update your twitter status (like you would facebook or myspace), it will notify the-spot.net's twitter and appear in what's called the "Friends Timeline." This timeline will then appear on the My Spot page as the old tsnXchat did, and you can see everyone's updates. Want a sample?
[*] It will help create a more immediate way to provide important information: Let's say I break the site - or the n00bs that run the server break the server. If you're following the-spot.net's twitter account, you'll know about it almost immediately because I will have sent out a twitter update saying so. Then you don't have to send a message to me asking why it's down - or if you're in the middle of typing something and have twitter notifications sent to your IM or cellphone, you won't hit Send and lose it.
But that's not all - I'm also going to be working on a method to update your twitter from the-spot.net's page directly. So give the website a look, if you sign up, let me know - I hope you do...there are already a handful of people on it:
