I don't know why you're asking it. If and when we do ban someone, we keep it under wraps...so that it's not a big deal. So I guess you'll never know if we have or not. ;)

Hmmm....I don't think I would want to know, because then I'd wanna' know everything...it'd have the same affect that someone would get if they told you, "Guess what! Guess what!" and never told.

no, i don't have any special knowledge of bannings, i just mention that date since that's the date i first came here and since then i haven't noticed any fights/spam /flame wars/nasty stuff immediately followed by a hiatus of those involved.
that's what i get for wondering i guess.

I didn't state that. Read my post more carefully. I said I wouldn't say if I had or hadn't.

And the policy for banning is, that, in the very unlikely event that we let the person come back, they must not mention it to people on the site, make a big deal about it, or otherwise cause any kind of problem to disrupt the friendly nature and flow of the conversations in the website. So the rest of the members will never know if someone was banned or not, because we don't make it an issue that is talked about.

We don't need civil wars to break out over stupid issues.

In my opinion, slavery was a stupid thing to fight over in the first place. But wasn't that what the whole civil was about? It's stupid. Civil wars havehappened for stupid reasons.

not a bad policy. better than just putting a sign that says "BANNED" over their avatar in all their posts. some sites do that.

haha, when when/if i ever get my customizable title...its going to be Banned :P
anyways...it sounds like the policy is very thought-out...almost like it's been gone through before...hrmm.......TacoBell is good. Hey Neo, does the code allow you to ban people from just certain forums? Or even from certain threads? Just wonder from a coder's stand-point.
