Logoff and log back in. the tsnLAN 8 thread has been doing that to me. I am not sure what's causing it, nor how to fix it...but that's how you get around it.

(It's good to log off the site every once in a while...so then your "View New Posts" page doesn't get to be "pages" long)

Hopefully you'll have that nav bar at the bottom put towards the top. You know:
my spot :: 0 new messages :: etc...

That way people won't get so confuzzled as to where to find it.

So, yeah...that template isn't really ready for use... You can if you want, but there are no guarantee's that it will always work :-p

I'm still working out a lot of kinks in it, which is why there's no post about it yet.

Log off and log back on, sir...that's how you fix it. Otherwise, you can post something at the end of it (legitimately) and it will mark it as read. I really don't know how to fix it, but I am also not messing with the codebase on the main pages so that I don't have to work so hard to upgrade the site...it'll be seemless and easy when they release updates.

will do...but I stay logged in cause it's a hassle to log off and on

...but if that's the fix for now...that's what I'll have to do

Yes, that is the fix, unfortunately.

And it won't be that much of a hassle once I get the theme done the way I want.

I'm good with a change, but chances are I'll never get around to checking everything out. I tend to get online, do what I set out to do, and that's it. I keep procrastinating and my list of things to do online just gets longer and longer. One of these days, they'll get high speed internet out to me. Of course, I'll probably still be behind because there will be something newer and faster that I can't get. Oh well.

I got bored at work today, and decided to play with Photoshop and try to create a smoke effect - I really wanted more of a plasma burst effect like you'd see in space - but the tutorials I found were pretty ghey - so I took parts of some and mixed them together, and what you see on the splash page is what I came up with: www.the-spot.net

I'll probably try to change it and make it smaller/better/different when I get back to work..and if things look right when I'm done - I might even get around to making a new theme for tsn.7...idk - it's a lot of work.

SOW: Well, I was actually going for more of an aurora/soft-burst effect, but didn't quite get there.

UPS: I never actually bought into GIMP - I do all my graphics with Adobe Fireworks - always have, since it was Macromedia Fireworks, and since I was on version 3 back in 1998. I had to use photoshop to get that smoke effect, and had to use GIMP so I could show you how to use it - but I don't use either regularly.

I changed the logo again on the splash page, to what I was originally trying to produce - but couldn't.

You can see it by going to www.the-spot.net
