Hmm, depends on the syrup. I grew up on corn syrup but I can't bring myself to use that stuff now. Maple syrup is a delicacy though so even though I don't like sweets, I will still cave to real maple syrup.
What fictional character (from any medium) would you pick as your ideal partner and why?

I think it's interesting how variable individual views on death are. I am one of those people who is overly moved by the death of family or close friends. My grandfather was the first close family member of mine to pass, which happened almost 7 years ago (end of this month is the anniversary of his ...

This whole thread just has me wondering about the children that we are hoping to foster/adopt and wonder what kinds of terrible things may have happened to them. It's upsetting to be sure, but I think as parents, going in fully-informed about the possibilities will help with understanding the type ...

Yeah, everyone here has to be 19+ and they card at the door. I love it for the all-age appealing movies for that reason. Sucks for Disney movies because they never play in the VIP. Only way to do Avengers though.

Also, just saying, Thursday, seeing Avengers 2 VIP style. Aww yeah! Ooo, what is VIP style? I'm not sure when we're going to see it - but it'll probably be this weekend. Cineplex (the main theatre chain here) rolled out some VIP theatres which are separated in their own area in a theatre complex. T...

I just started watching Daredevil. Not too far into it yet, but I'm really liking what I'm watching I'm 4 eps in and I like it but I'm not loving it as much as I expected to. Maybe the hype got my hopes up. But then again, I always like the "reveal" and that hasn't happened (if it ever wi...

I'm going to chime in and back Pam on this one. I like the rewards cards but for very specific reasons: I always pay off my balance every month (I carry 0 forward so I pay no interest) and everything goes to my credit card so I maximize the points (there is no limit on mine) so when I pay for say a ...

So...what is a stereotypical Canadian? We are stereotyped as saying "please", "thank you", and "sorry" to the point of overuse. I've been accused of that by Americans and other Canadians on a frequent enough basis to think it's an alive-and-well stereotype now. lol - R...

It sounds like you've been the victim of abuse and attempted abuse throughout your life. I don't know how a teacher could feel like that was an appropriate comment to make to an underage student...and how no other student would have called him on that. He was the cool teacher, charismatic and cheer...

I just remembered another example where I was in gr. 10, so I would have been around 14-15. I was sitting in my civics class which was down the hall from my third period English classroom. I saw my English teacher walking by and I called out to say good morning to him. Everyone liked him because he ...
