Re: A trip through the Looking Glass and back

I like this. I rarely post stuff on facebook because I know many times it will just end up in arguments and people hating on eachother. A lot of this is due because of my beliefs on different subjects and matters. I understand that....a lot of people disagree with most of my beliefs. BUT I should st...

Re: Garland, TX Shooting - May 2015

I agree....both sides of that whole situation were wrong. At the same time, I believe the "contest" did have the right to do that if they wanted to, and the muslims had a right to respectfully and legally protest if they wanted to (obviously they weren't respectful nor did things legally). This situ...

Re: Discussion about a new forum concept

I'm still unsure of how I'd like to see this place transform. I DO want it to transform though. I enjoy coming here and following different discussions, and I think that for this place to become anything like what it used to be, it needs to evolve. Some times it's just an annoyance to have to click ...

Re: Death of Loved Ones

When I was younger, the thought of being dead, but conscious was scary as smurf - to be dead, but fully aware of your deadness. The idea of heaven didn't sound very much appealing either - having to kneel before the throne and worship all the time...sounds just terrible to me. I'm glad my view of h...

Re: High School Reunions

My 10 year high school reunion is in June......I won't be going (it's only like 20 minutes from where I live now). I never really hung out with anyone from school. My last 2 years of school I had late arrival and early dismissal; I hated being in school so much and was ready to be done. I'm friends ...

Re: Going paperless

Using credit card rewards while you still have a balance on the card is pointless. But if you pay off the cards every month, and don't have debt, the rewards can be extremely rewarding. It's as good as using only cash, a la Dave Ramsay, but then getting some of that cash back. We use a combination o...

Re: What song do you hate with a passion?

Man...I STILL love Linkin Park to this day!! Their newer albums have more songs I don't like, but there are also songs on the newer albums that I love. Also, their songs have gotten less depressing over the years, so maybe you should give them a shot again? As far as a song I hate with a passion.......

Re: Buying a home, exercise in stress/time management

Congrats! We just found out today that we're closing on the 30th. :D We got a really nice deal when the appraisal came back for $15k less than what the seller was asking for. When we got that and counter-offered the appraisal amount, the seller accepted without trying to get anything else on top of ...

Re: Going paperless

We've had the same problem with the house buying process. It's so frustrating, because I can show them all the information we have in our pdf from filing taxes, but it's not the exact document they want, so they get on to us and ask for more information. I definitely think everyone should be going p...

Re: What's the longest you've stayed up?

The longest I ever stayed up was around 38 hours. I woke up for classes that morning around 8 AM. Had a normal day. Around 6 or 7 PM my roommates decided to have a contest of who could stay up the longest (freshman year, we were stupid and did stuff for the heck of it). Most of them passed out that ...
