Re: New Job/Career!!!

Hrm, I won't really know at what point I'm doing too much work for my pay grade. I might have to talk to you when I feel like that could be happening. I did get a raise significantly larger than expected, so right now I feel like I wouldn't mind doing extra work for a while.

Re: New Job/Career!!!

My title is IT Support Specialist. Pretty much being the help desk for the bank. I know the first thing they want me to do is replace a bunch of computers and set up computers in a new office. Once I get their back log caught up the Network Systems Admin wants to work with me and get me doing some o...

Re: Getting to know you VII

PC games all the way.

Chipotle, freebirds, or Qdoba, and why? (I just had Qdoba for the first time this weekend and it was amazing)

New Job/Career!!!

I've got some exciting news! I start a new job in 2 weeks. I'll be staying with the same company, but I'm switching from the retail side of banking and going to IT. I've been preparing for this for quite a while, and I've been wanting it bad, so this is extremely exciting. It also came with a raise ...

Since that day is a holiday, I may or may not be able to make it. I have the day off, so the possibility is there, but there's always so much going on that I may be busy. As of right now, I think I would be able to go though. For now I'm planning on being there.

My college roommate had a 1.5 hour layover and we had enough time to take him to springcreek BBQ. There's a lot nearby, and you definitely have more than enough time.

Re: Tech toys!

I'm hoping I can get my hands on some upgrades at Quakecon though =D I'm jealous about Quakecon. It's been way too long since I've been to one. I know that it costs money now to BYOC and set it up, but are there things one can do for free? If it runs over the weekend, and depending on when it is, I...

Re: tsn8 - A Work In Progress

Any idea approximately how long it will take to do everything? I'm excited about it. Personally I think that is what's needed to start bringing back some of our members.

Re: tsnLAN 2015 - June 27th, 2015

Party started at 12, first people showed up at 1:30, last people showed up at 4, and the first people were already leaving by 5:30. Maybe set a shorter time frame next time (while knowing people will probably stay longer)?

Re: Tech toys!

Yeah, I completely forgot about all of that. Haha. I didn't even get to experience what using Google Glass really feels like (another thing I wanted to do). But that's alright, we've gone into lockdown mode with our wallets for the next couple of months, so playing with more tech toys would only get...

Re: tsnLAN 2015 Date Poll Thread

This may end up turning less into a LAN party and more into a get-together... Honestly that's what I've been thinking it is the whole time. I'm not sure how many PC gamers we're actually going to have show up. I'm bringing my laptop just in case, even though I don't have most of those games. Either...

Re: Tech toys!

Yeah, I probably won't call them. I'm really looking for non-traditional alarm systems. Something modern, with no monitoring. Something that will send me a push notification based on motion detection or audio detection, and that will trigger a camera to start recording a clip. Since I want video, I ...

Re: Tech toys!

Interesting. We have Reliant for electricity, and I had no idea they also did home security. I'll definitely check them out to see if they'd meet my needs. What are the features that you feel they're lacking?
