Re: A Canadian in Texas? What??

Do you happen to know which end of the airport? I used to live around there, and I might know of a few places (hopefully, they're still open). If you're on the north east end, there's a sushi place, Midori, that has a sushi lunch special!

Re: Where do you think you'll be in 10 years?

I'll be there with Neo. I hope we'll have 1 or 2. I hope they do well in school. That's about 3rd-4th grade --a crucial time where kids decide if they like school or not, and an important year for their reading skills. I hope they'll be nice to other children, respectful to adults, and clever! If th...

Making patterns

This is for Vanyl to mess around with her dress form. I'll add more later, but for now, I'll do two ways of making patterns. Making a pattern from something you already own.... You can make a pattern from a shirt, pants, skirt or whatever you really like pretty easily. I've done this lots of times, ...

Re: The Biggest Turn-offs

- Rudeness. I went out on a date with a guy, and as soon he was rude to the wait staff, I knew it he was not going to work out. - Laziness (especially if it comes to a guy who doesn't work, or is underemployed to an extent. I basically don't want a deadbeat). - Intolerance to minorities of any kind....

Re: What's the longest you've stayed up?

Only 30 hours or so. In my religious years, I would chaperon lock ins. We did all kinds of crazy games like American Idol (on the stage of the church and everything), board games, school yard games, etc, etc. I always liked to leave one "quiet room" for people who actually wanted a few hou...

Re: Might as well grab a drink...

If it's alcohol, I like beer and wine. For mixed drinks, I love Blue Hawaii, Mojito, or rum and coke!

If it's non-alcoholic, some tea. Lately, I've been drinking a pear green tea, or chamomile vanilla.

Re: Childhood Enjoyment

I've always like arts and crafts. Mostly, animals! From a young age, I was always petting stray animals (much to my mother's chagrin and concern), taking them home, etc, etc. Neither of those have changed much.

Re: Sexual orientation in society

While I was still working on my degree, I did a voluntary program called "Safe Zone." It was made as a way for people in HR, or schools, or generally any type of business to create a safe and welcoming place for those in the LGBT community. The first thing this taught me is that there's a ...

Re: What are the perks of dating/marrying you?

I didn't realize how difficult a question it was until I tried to answer it. GlennCoco saw it and laughed at my "financial stability" point, and was adamant about making sure I put sense of humor on there because that's what drew her, even when she's mad at me she still laughs and can't s...

When I unpack the order at work, and I can have a perfect stack of empty, broken down boxes within a box. And general tidiness.

Re: What simple things in life bring you the most happiness?

What simple things in life bring you the most happiness? For me, it's probably a comfortable room temperature, dimly lit, with high speed internet, my Thumbs Up Google Playlist, and some familiar code to work on, with a Starbucks iced drink - but with unmelting ice - on a rainy day. We're working o...
