So in my effort to at least restore *SOME* greatness to this wonderful site known as TSN, I wanted to start up this thread and read up on some great gaming stories. While a lot of people have heard my stories, it doesn't hurt posting them again ^_^

Jad is amazing at Telefragging with the translocator on UT... to the point where its just plain annoying. Its almost impossible to land a hit on him. One time playing a map, it was just Jad and I playing while everyone else was loading the game up on their computer, Jad was teleporting all over the place and I couldn't land a good hit on him with any weapon. I came across his disc on the other side of the map, and decided I was going to at least have SOME advantage, and pulled out my impact hammer, which is the worst weapon on UT (or so I thought, my opinion has changed dramatically since then). The Impact Hammer is basically two vacuum tubes with a suction cup in the middle. Its a melee weapon without ammo. I charged up my Impact Hammer and I didn't even have to wait, Jad teleported thinking he was going to get an easy frag out of me. I blasted him immediently.
Thinking that was just a lucky shot and a fluke, he tried to telefrag me again. I blasted him again.
He started to get frustrated, so he pulls out his Impact Hammer, and starts going after me with it, and we start running around in circles trying to get each other.
At this point, Vim (who is also incredible with the translocator) joins in on the game, and watches us running around with the impact hammer, and wonders what the hell is going on. So he pulls out his translocator, shoots a disc, hoping to get an easy telefrag. He spawns right in the middle of our fight, and I don't remember who, but one of us blasted him immediently. In his total shock (and amusement if I recall), he decides to pull out his impact hammer and so all three of us are running around trying to blast each other.
KD was the last one to join in on the fight, and as she spawns into the game, she sees all three of us running around with impact hammers. She's thinking "EASY KILL!" and starts shooting at us (I believe it was with the handheld gun). Big mistake! :P All three of us realize that we're being shot at so all three of us starts running after her with the impact hammer! She starts running away from all of us trying to shoot, and gets blasted away by one of us with the impact hammer!!! So in her astonishment, she goes ahead, respawn, and pulls out her impact hammer.

Hence the birth of the impact hammer melees :P

So do you guys have any good gaming stories? I know I have a few more stories to throw in ^___^ And it doesn't have to be UT, it could be any game!

Couple of quick Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 moments:

If you get the last kill, it show's the game-winning kill cam from your perspective:

One time I threw a frag grenade through a window in this building. I accidentally overshot it and it flew out of the window on the other side...hitting this guy straight in the face just before exploding. (If a projectile or throw object kills them, the camera follows that.)

Another one this guy tried to commando my ass out of a window falling down on my head but I had seen where he showed up on my radar from shooting another one of my guys, so I turned at the last second and knife killed this smurfette in midair. It was smurfing epic.

I know my brother has some epic stories from his World of Warcraft days. One of them involves the biggest server-wide Player Vs Player battle in the game's history, and he was one of the leaders of it, as a Horde vs Alliance all-out throw down for faction dominance. I'll see if I can get him on here to post it.

I remember my very first experience playing any of the Final Fantasy Games.

It was Final Fantasy III for the Super Nintendo (actually its better known as Final Fantasy VI), and I was at Kurtis' place, a neighbor of mine, and best friend at the time. It was during the summer time, and it was probably close to around 6pm when we first rented the game from Hastings. We popped it into the console, and played in his upstair's room. We were stunned by how awesome the game looked, and the storyline was just as awesome, and we had the ability to where we both could play. We were probably playing that game up until around 3am, and we both decided we wanted to play a different game.

Looking back at it now, it probably wasn't the wisest ideas to play Killer Instinct after 9 hours of playing Final Fantasy III. >_< I think I had bandaids on my thumbs a week afterwards for pressing too hard on the d-pad and the buttons!
